Creating the "new normal"

We saw trial balloons floated about the current state of the economy as something we need to just accept, a "new normal" in adjusting economic expectations as the nanny state and government expands. Now they have dusted off an old relic in an attempt to give it credence and offer more dubious solutions. The economic theory is called "Secular Stagnation". They are priming us to first (a) accept a new lower level of economic growth (b) prime the American people to be more willing to spend money on expanding government to counter its effects.
