CBRL's problem is not revenue, it is basically at an all-time high, and comparable restaurant earnings were up in the 2Q. The issue with earnings. Their earnings have been taking a bath since mid-21. Any boycotts have had a minimal impact on revenue.

Their CFO has talked about the decrease in traffic on their quarterly calls. You can't just look at the revenue number (especially in this environment) and determine they don't have an image issue.

Yeah! Who needs customers when you are retailing. You are as intelligent as Bud Light and Cracker Barrel Management.

Wow, I didn't even know that CB did this last year. What morons. Their customer base are families and seniors. With that type of food and setting do they really think new Gen Z and LGBT would be all of a sudden attracted to CB?
Geniuses running their marketing.

They'll probably double down with it in a couple of weeks.

Look at this stupidity, must be one of the rainbow crowd. All restaurants use the same type ingredients as CB. The current destruction was caused by going woke not any other reason.

Some of us have been boycotting restaurants like Cracker Barrel with their seed oil laden and ultra processed food for many years now. I don't like their LGBT rocking chair stunt but it's less egregious than the poisoning of their patrons. There's a reason the average Cracker Barrel customer is severely obese and a few feet short of the grave.

I went for the first time in years a couple of months ago. Was shocked they gave me a laminated menu instead of the old brown paper menu. Then I noticed many of the old items were gone and they had a bunch of new crap. Also pushing alcoholic drinks!!!

It's basically a really bad Applebee's now.

Talk about being out of touch with their customer base! The executives that came up with this stunt need to be canned immediately.

Cracker Barrel working to increase their ESG score with that rainbow slew of chairs.

I wasn’t eating there prior to the chair and have no reason to go back.

It's not cancel culture to not eat somewhere because you disagree with a marketing ploy.

Doesn't earnings have to be up at least 20-30 percent to consider it "real" earnings growth and not just inflated like everything else in Joe Biden's America?

Who owns the majority shares, packs the board, mismanages with a visibly different marketing scheme, and short-sells the stock?

American utopia is gorging on processed slop, sitting in your rainbow rocking chair, enjoying the stunning view of your local Home Depot.

What I don't understand is how these CEOs keep doing things like this.

Somebody earlier made the point that they have an aging customer base. Combine that with the heat they took from that idiot pastor and their retiring CEO, well...they were screwed either way.

I appreciate Capaldi and he would have made a better Doctor but for the writers. They kept Clara way too long. Clearly they didn’t have enough chemistry yet they forced her on the audience until even the fans turned on her! How the show treated both was a sign to my things we’re heading south.

They were probably warned that they were falling short of their ESG goals and had to queer the place up a bit if they wanted access to capital.

It's not?

What's cancel culture, then?
