Coup in Russia? Gov demands Wagner Group to stand down

Russian government officials are demanding that the Russian mercenary Wagner group stand down and return to their barracks having begun to march to Moscow at the behest of their leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin.
Prigozhin has been at loggerheads with Russia’s official political and military leadership for months, often criticizing not just the strategy in Ukraine but also the enrichment of Russia’s elite at a cost of many lives on both sides.

We'll see how this turns out, but so far it has appeared that this is all theater, used to provoke the Ukrainians to assume weak points on the Russian side, bait them into moving / attacking, and then they get crushed. But, we shall see how this develops.

There's no way they make it to Moscow if the military doesn't support them. They'll use heavy bombers on them if they need to. This has no chance without the flip.

He’s not getting to Moscow without a significant part of the Russian military either joining him or refusing to man their stations.
The state has the ability to wipe these columns out wholesale in a matter of minutes. But you need loyal troops who have bought into the system to do so.
Nothing about what we’ve seen thus far from the Russian military inspires confidence they’ll take up arms to kill their fellow countrymen for the Moscow regime. They’ve barely shown an interest in killing the Ukrainian “Nazis”
