Yeah, I agree. 10000%.

I'm emphasizing through extreme language exactly how dangerous interacting with the police can be. Anyone who disagrees with that should explain why there are Profesional courses that teach people how to avoid dying when talking to police officers.

He juked the cop after the cop totally bungled his arrest. That's what happened.

Cop then shoots him in the back.

Exactly.

Like it or not, these videos are having a deep and irreversible effect on the relationship between police and the policed, to the point that I think police need to modify their behavior and training to prevent a complete breakdown of that relationship.

When it comes down to it, I am law-abiding, I know the cops are almost always in the right, and will comply right up to the point where resisting is worth my life, but I don't like where this is going. It's not good for anyone, including me and you who don't break laws, and including the police.

I hate that police reflexively respond the way they have in this thread.

Stupid, you have a right to self defense against cops if they aren't acting legally.

If you run from a dog, it will chase you. If you, keep running, it will bite you.

I've made more arrests than you, in more dangerous areas than you. Places where people blow themselves up to kill you. Places where the locals will fricking kill you for mistreating them. So spare me that routine son.

I'm aware that weapons can be concealed. I'm also aware that your your fear and imagination do not constitute an actual threat to life limb and eyesight. This case is a perfect example of emotion trumping training. It's also why I think cops should have the same lethal force ROE as everyone else.

I will never ever ever feel sorry for someone who gets harmed by the police when they're non-compliant or violent with the cops.

99.9999% of the time, if you obey them, then you dont get hurt. Its not fricking hard to understand.

Actually you do. a lot of circumstances where they assumed correctly. In this instance Patrick Harmon put them in the position of having to make that choice. One choice puts your life on the line

No amount of training or anything is going to eliminate that survival instinct. You're idealistic police force will never exist.

So you believe no one should be able to walk or ride a bike on the street at night without a headlight of some sort? Because they might cause an accident?

Thats nonsense. Not only should be able to..they are able to and do so frequently. Do you believe they should be able to pick and choose which traffic laws they wish to ignore and blame someone else if things go wrong?

A cop can mutter a few words and make himself legal in almost any circumstance. He can even charge for resisting arrest as the sole charge.

A cop can claim, without any evidence at all, that he feared for his life. He can then use that claim to justify killing you.

That's not how it works at all.
