Lol at you defending Clinton corruption.
not defending anything, I never remotely considered voting for the corrupt witch...but the issue of Trump potentially being in violation of the Emoluments Clause has nothing to do with her.

I did just quick-scan your post before responding while watching football, and thought you were asking why didn't this group sue her for the same charge while running for president..hence my response.

Nixon v. Fitzgerald
quote:
In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the President is entitled to absolute immunity from liability for civil damages based on his official acts. The court emphasized that the President is not immune from criminal charges stemming from his official (or unofficial) acts while in office.

. Trump said that he'd donate profits made from foreign government officials that stay at his hotels, not all profits or all profits from foreign governments.
No, he said all profits from foreign governments.

Where were these constitutional scholars during Obamas abuse of executive orders?

Just like with conflicts of interest, he wants to do more than what the Constitution requires. So President-elect Trump has decided, and we are announcing today, that he is going to voluntarily donate all profits from foreign government payments made to his hotels to the United States Treasury. This way it is the American people who will profit.

This is why America can't get it's smartest and brightest to run for political office. How dare Donald Trump be a successful businessman. That's not what politicians do. Politicians are supposed to take kickbacks and bribes to build their wealth.

He hasn't even officially transferred control to his sons. He had the press conference, and that's all that he did. No paperwork has been filed as of this morning.

What is your plan for how he disperses all his business holdings in less than 3 months?

They cite fears by the framers of the Constitution that United States officials could be corrupted by gifts or payments.

So, explain to me how your quote doesn't disprove your original statement.

Not that I think he should, but he could do it with one agreement. Put it all in the control of a trustee.

Romney had a plan to move all of his wealth into a blind trust.
Why doesn't Trump sell his share of his company to his children? If they can't afford it he could go public and sell his interest there. It really wouldn't be that hard for him to eliminate the appearance of impropriety

They were buying her influence as SEC of State as well. The poster feeble attempt at defending. Clinton is humorous and pathetic.

Your original quote failed to note that Trump only discussed donating profits made from his hotels - not any other source of profits from foreign governments. What if a foreign government used his golf course in Scotland? What if he sold land to a foreign government?
