"Conservatives" need a new label.

When people hear the word "conservative", they think of old and outdated ideas perpetuated by old people.
Liberals have successfully re-labeled themselves as "progressives" and it's fooled people. People think these "progressives" are forward-thinking and fresh simply because of the name. It's the same old liberal ideas with a fresh new name.
People are stupid. You can convince them an ideology is fresh and new simply with a new label that promotes a feeling of positivity and forward-thinking.
In short, it's really just marketing.
What is a new term conservatives can call themselves that would promote their ideology in a positive way?

If conservatives would just stop taking a stance on social issues, we would probably have a larger support. Smaller and more efficient government is what the people deserve. Unfortunately we have decided to stick our nose into social issues with outdated ways of thinking. We've alienated the gays, blacks, Mexicans, Muslims, and so many other segments of the population who would have fitted right in had we not been so stupid.
