As the majority here are right-leaning, I'm kind of curious.

What stage did you support Trump?
I.E. - Did you vote for him during the Republican Primary?
Did you expect him to win the General Election?
Did you think he would be the only candidate who might lose to Hillary?

If you did not start off as a supporter but eventually came around to liking him, was there a turnkey moment (like a specific policy), or more a gradual move towards supporting him (but prior to him winning the Republican nomination)?

Just curious. Mildly wondering at what stage people were lining up behind him. Inspired by a conversation with my very Republican brother, who admitted that if his state had been one of the early primaries he likely would have voted for someone other than Trump, but by the time it reached his state he had his vote.

Didn't vote for Trump. Voted Libertarian, like I have since 2000.

Having said that, I'm pulling for Trump to turn things around. The complete unhinged response from the proggies tells me he's going down the right path so far...with the exception of the horrid execution of his immigration moratorium.

The day before he announced his candidacy because I had no idea he was contemplating running until then. I didn't really follow politics closely back then.

Was a Cruz guy.
Supported him as the nominee.
Didn't believe he could win.
Glad he did.

Been with Trump for a few years. Voted Trump from the primaries. Thought he would win when the meme war started and you can see things changing before your eyes.

Did not vote for him in the Primary: I actually cannot vote in the Republican Primary and I have rectified that. I was registered as an independent from my college years and never changed it for some reason.

I did not want him to win the Primary even though some of his policies and messages were desireable. He's a terrible speaker and got too much into the weeds with twitter to put it mildly.

I am a 100% #neverHillary voter. It was always the lesser to two perceived evils.

I am on board fully now for one reason. The pendulum must be moved back toward the center. Trump is the only one brash enough to do that.

I am not naive enough to believe that anyone that continued to not tell the press to frick off would have changed their further push to the left. They would have walked over every except for Cruz who may have blasted them in a beautiful way instead of the hammer Trump uses.

I'm all for US first. We need to take care of our own house so that we can benefit others.

We are like The Bill Gates foundation without the solvency. We give like we have unlimited resources when we are already dead fricking broke and in debt to our eyeballs. It makes no damn sense.

I was on the trump train since day one. I don't agree with al of his policies but he was the only one that would actually bring change to the current DC culture. I've also read all of his books starting about 15 years ago. They are still in my office.

Honestly, his first speech. Not the moment he came down the escalator but his first public speech to Americans. It resonated with me.

Do I agree with all of his positions or statements? No.
Do I think that he is necessary for America? Yes.

I did think that that "grab them" comments was the end of the candidacy. I lost confidence when that came out and thought "well, it was a good ride".

And on election night, when Florida turned toward Trump, I believed he was going to win!

yes, from the beginning.

nobody knew. I knew he SHOULD win but this country elected obama twice. Was hoping it was bad enough for change this time especially with an anti-establishment candidate.

Trump is the only one who would have beat hilldog. It was not cruz's time. That may come later after trump as i have predicted from the onset.

I knew it would be trump or cruz in the primary which i was ok with.

I am cautiously optimistic about his presidency.
