Nice try at spinning this.
CNN knows this makes progressives look like the anti-American pricks that they are.

They're not.
And the article states that all other Presidents have used the office to unite instead of divide which is complete and utter bullshite.

NFL players protest the flag, and divide American. (Divide)
President says that we should all (Unity) respect the flag.
MSM: The president is dividing us!
President says that we should all (Unity) respect the flag.
MSM: The president is dividing us!

To progressives, it's always opposite day!

"If I had a son"...and BLM in the WH while their hit people were ambushing Cops in the street. Muh Trump racist! That dog won't hunt in the Hinterland.

What did he say about PR?

CNN
Is as responsible as any politician at dividing this country. They choose to frame the news in such a way to divide this country. MSM is about ratings. Emotion drives ratings. Not facts. This is going to continue to happen until enough Americans are sick of being strung along and actually want to talk about their disagreements. As long as emotion and ego continue to be involved, nothing productive is going to happen. Those are the biggest ways to stop productive discourse.

He's not trying to divide, he's trying to hide.
Puerto Rico has been wiped out (millions of affected US citizens) and the Senate is trying to quickly ram through a turd of a healthcare bill that will majorly affect hundreds of millions of people (precisely how the Senate is NOT supposed to operate), and Trump has us all pitted against each other in one of the truly insignificant debates of our time. Notice how little he's tweeted about important things and how much he has tweeted about trivial things recently.
I have to admit, the man is brilliant at manipulating narratives. The liberals (and conservatives for that matter) have fallen for it completely.

I'm not disagreeing with you Buescherman, but people are unrealistic on what a government can do to help. I know he has send military ships to help, but that is just a small jester. Unfortunately its going to take time, and people are not patience in the world we live in today. It's called personal responsibility and its sadly lacking in today's world.

While this is clearly true (that he can brilliantly shift a narrative), what do you think the news media has done for decades?
Just look at twitter. Nobody is interested it just telling the truth or reporting facts. Everyone is trying to feed on emotion for $$$. Tale as old as time. People keep falling for this shite and this is why we have now have politics reflecting sports. It's like red sox v yankees or the nastiest sports rivalry you can think of. People have become die hard supporters of political parties.
Think about how insane that is. Stand for principles. Don't hero worship politicians or political parties. Principled people will still end up voting for the parties that are more closely aligned with their ideas, but don't just lose the ability to critically think and question things. Social media is not real life, but it really gives you an insight into the extremes.

That's not what he said.
It would be much better if he had said that but that's not what he said.

He didn't come up and say anything against black people either, yet that's not what the media wants to portray
Or can the president's tweet only be twisted and interpreted to fit the media narrative.

So because you feel that the media narrative is wrong, it entitles you to simply change what Trump said completely to make it easier to argue your side?
