I loathe CNN. They are just wretched. In this article they say their was a Julius Caesar play by Trinity Repertory Company last year with Caesar being a middle aged woman in a pant suit which "clearly" was supposed to be Hillary Clinton. I'm on my phone so I can't post an image but google images "Trinity Repertory Company Julius Caesar play"

there is NO resemblance to Hillary Clinton. None

The play has been doing this for a long time.

They link to a review from 2013 about them portraying Caesar as Obama.

EDIT: Since the link is not cooperating and people seem incapable of reading before they respond:

The one I looked at looks to be a man portraying a woman and the hair is gray and short.

I loathe CNN too, and they are certainly wretched.

But that doesn't stop republicans from occasionally being hypocritical. And it is plainly hypocritical to be outraged by the Trump Shakespeare in the park if you were aware of the Obama Shakespeare in the park 4 years earlier without feeling any of the same animosity or anger.

We're all capable of making discretionary evaluations of various events. An event like Kathy Griffin's photo shoot is plainly disgusting and deserves the ridicule it got. An event like reinterpreting a classical play for a modern day doesn't move the needle for me. I don't get the outrage over that one. Particularly when you keep the theme of Julius Caesar in mind

I see no problem with a display of Hillary being killed if indeed that happened, no one ever deserved a bloody death more than that piece of monkey shite.

I was not aware of Obama play. I think it's wrong on both fronts. But what burns me up is their not covering antifa which is funded by Hillary and obama's Buddy, Soros. And they're promoting Black Lives Matter who is also funded by him.

There are no violent conservative groups like Antifa and BLM. No cinseevatibes burning entire city blocks down like BLM. No conservative groups burning university buildings, burning flags, poking horses with nails, breaking storefront windows, breaking bottles over people's heads, setting cars on fire, putting tear gas into vents at inaugural balls. None with hit lists in their pockets for dem congressman. None gunning down dem congressmen. I could go on a on.

The left is clearly more violent, yet they call trump supporters hypocrites??

Do what I do, don't watch TV until college football starts. Turning off the news will add years to your life.

And I missed the paragraph on Obama play. I didn't know that. I don't think it's right for plays to depict the death of a living President - dem or Repub.

Weird how that didn't get reported as much.

It's almost as if the CNN was trying to manipulate people's opinion.

Nah...

I agree with all of that, and it's part of what makes CNN wretched.

But I think we can separate all of that from a production of Shakespeare in the park. Direct that anger where it's due: CNN and the Dem party (to name only a very few).

At the same time, I don't understand the people who seemingly want to tar and feather a bunch of actors for putting on this show. I'm willing to listen if anyone wants to explain that one to me

They are just reaching way too far for fake news, everyone can see it, which is good for America, bad for CNN..

Exactly, I don't watch a whole lot of Shakespeare, I do disagree with inferences of our presidents getting murdered randomly though. Regardless of party.

The fact they do this for all presidents wasn't apparent to me, and I'd imagine most. Still tasteless though
