--Little chance to overturn results seen but ‘principle’ remains

--Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan could redo vote counts

Hillary Clinton’s campaign lawyer announced plans to participate in vote recounts of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan if they take place, yet doesn’t expect to overturn the election of Donald Trump as president.

If Green Party candidate Jill Stein initiates recounts in all of those states as she intends, the Clinton campaign “will participate in order to ensure the process proceeds in a manner that is fair to all sides,” lawyer Marc Elias said Saturday in a post on the blogging website Medium.com.

Stein says on her website that she’s raised more than $5.7 million for her recount effort so far, with a $7 million goal. The funds raised so far will cover costs in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

The Democrat’s campaign didn’t plan to initiate recounts on its own because it hasn’t found “any actionable evidence of hacking or outside attempts to alter the voting technology,” Elias wrote.

Elias also isn’t expecting the recounts to erase what he said was a 107,000 combined vote margin separating the candidates in the three battleground states and overturning the election of Trump, who is due to be sworn in as president in January.

Marc Elias, the campaign’s general counsel, wrote in a post on Medium on Saturday that the Clinton team has been conducting an extensive review of election results, searching for any signs that the voting process had been tampered with.

He emphasized that analysts employed by the campaign have largely found no evidence to conclude that the election was sabotaged, but said that the campaign is committed to helping ensure a fair recount process.

“While that effort has not, in our view, resulted in evidence of manipulation of results, now that a recount is underway, we believe we have an obligation to the more than 64 million Americans who cast ballots for Hillary Clinton to participate in ongoing proceedings to ensure that an accurate vote count will be reported.”

Meh. Regardless of the motivations I don't mind the occasional thorough audit of the system. If you take off the red or blue glasses, it's not terrible to be going through this with a fine tooth comb sometimes.

I don't expect any substantial changes either

Yes, yes, now that a recount just so happens to be underway and we are sure they had nothing to do with funding it either...

WI does an automatic audit of the system; nothing to give the election to Crooked Hillary has been found.

Now why would Stein file only in the states Trump won by a narrow margin?

Stein filed for a recount in Wisconsin on Friday afternoon, and has pledged to do the same in Pennsylvania and Michigan — states in which President-elect Donald Trump won or is leading by narrow margins.

Elias said the campaign would join in on recount process in those states if Stein follows through on her promise, though he noted that the margins in the three Midwestern states are larger than any that has been reversed by a recount.

That's assuming we don't have a bunch of crooks running the show. I do no trust anything this government in its current state does. We already know the government has been corrupted at the highest levels.

I'm very suspicious of this whole thing.

Disagree. Too much temptation for those that didn't rig enough to try to rig a little more.
The only thing it can accomplish is to start a war and destroy the country.

--The temper tantrums failed.

--The rioting and smashing up cites failed.

--Sending death threats to electors failed.

--Now Crooked Hillary calling for the recount of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania under the guise of Jill Stein doing it...

The democratic party will never return to normalcy. Next, they will announce Muslim Brotherhood, Ellison as their Chair.

Pathetic...
