Discussing on the movie board but thought you folks might find this interesting. It will certainly ruffle some feathers come release.

Is the premise an actual civil war (we've never had one) or another conventional war between 2 countries like 1860?

Most movies made about the civil war are historically wrong

They portray white folks as bad when they should e portraying democrats as bad

100% everyone who buys tickets to that movie will be on a watch list.

Better use cash.

Looks incredibly stupid. Especially F-22s flying under 5000 feet

Love the comment “Texas and California working together…obvious fiction”

I just saw the trailer. Looks like a pretty cool movie. Can't tell if there's an agenda there or not.

Sounds like California & Texas vs. US. Florida too?

Predictive Programming

Just like before covid hit, we had pandemic movies and shows, now the establishment is trying to plant the seeds of discontent and how it would impact you, the little people.

“Florida Alliance”

The world building seems juvenile at best. Especially Texas and California working together. The biggest kicker is seeing conventional military forces fighting each other.

You should probably read up on the F22, or maybe get out to an airshow and talk to some of F22 pilots.

A24 is a great production house that has churned out some amazing flicks. They definitely take chances and skew towards the art house stuff

That said, theres absolutely zero chance a film is made in 2023 thats gets at the root of what would actually ignite a modern civil war. And I won’t hold my breath that it won’t be rife with exaggerated depictions of whites as yeehaw zealots with a generous helping of black wisdom and heroism

Idk....Alex Garland makes some pretty interesting films...with characters that feel like real people if you know what I mean.... I loved Ex Machina and Annihilation and his show Devs was cool too so I'm interested in his take on the subject.

"Calling things by the wrong name adds to the affliction of the world." -Albert Camus.

Very revealing.
