Citizens of Gaza vs citizens of the axis nations of WW2: why the soft spot for the former?

Why is Israel expected to go out of its way to care about the citizens of Gaza when the allied nations weren’t expected to handicap themselves in such a similar fashion?
Fact is, like the allied powers, Israel has a job to do: unseat a hostile government that is actively trying to erase its existence.
War is hell, but at the end of the day, the Germans, Japanese, and Gazans all allowed for the evil governments to rule their respective lands, and the consequences were dire.
Just like every single death during the firebombing of Dresden can be blamed on hitler for not surrendering, every single death in Gaza is on Hamas’ hands for not relinquishing power

Honestly with Biden’s bs on going after Israel and citing fake Hamas stats, I am so pissed that I very well may vote trump

If Israel stopped the war and Gazans had a do over to vote in New leadership,
75% of them would vote in Hamas again.

Television is the answer you’re looking for. If 24 hour cable news existed during WW2 there is absolutely no way public opinion would have supported the war on either side. Think of the tens of thousands that died during D Day or the immense loss of life on the eastern front or Iwo Jima. You think you could get away with those numbers today without the public dragging politicians and leaders into the street and dispatching them?

Had social media existed in the 1930s-40s the Nazis 100% would have won.
The sight of little children running naked in the street as their homes were completely destroyed by firebombing/napalm is what ultimately cost us Vietnam.
The same would have been true had the residents of Tokyo or Dresden had Twitter and real time color photos and videos getting past the govt censors

Why do we give Israel so much money? Why do we give a frick about Palestinians who hate America and have a backwards and dangerous religion? Both sides can go frick themselves.
We should pull out of the Middle East and let it sort itself out. Israel is a problem created by Germany. If someone should be trying to intermediate peace, it should be those dirty krauts. Not us.

there is really no comparison between the two.
first of all Gaza is not a state.
also Gaza does not have a real military force to effectively challenge the adversary as the Axis powers did.
it is seen as an unfair fight, which is why people in the media keep talking about what is or not an proportionate response.

You think the experts of propaganda wouldn’t have been efficient in their use of social media to sway the American population?
Get a grip. The youth of America would have eaten up the propaganda coming out of Dresden just like they ate up the propaganda in Vietnam.
