here we go again........

The Senate Intelligence Committee approved the CISA (Cyber Information Sharing Act) bill on Tuesday to enhance cybersecurity, but it raises concerns among privacy advocates, who warn that it may give the NSA (National Security Agency) greater access to personal information of US citizens.

Is this a non-partisan issue now, because Bush got railed for this type of activity didn't he?

Are democrats okay with getting spied on now?

From what I've seen it is certainly nonpartisan. Most on the progressive sites are outraged about it.

Vote was 12-3, with at least 2 of the 3 dissenting votes being Dems.

We have things completely upside down.

It should be extraordinarily difficult for Gov to KEEP secrets FROM the people

It should be extraordinarily difficult for the Gov to FIND OUT the secrets OF the people.

Instead, we cannot get open, straight answers from Gov and they just access what they want.

frick that, frick them.

Time to turn them ALL out. Not a single incumbent should return.

You know though, no one ever seems to do that. It's like throw them all out except for my reps.

I know. It is maddening.

My dad is my hero. But, if he were a Senator, I swear that i'd campaign AGAINST him after 2 terms

I've recently started to think that society may revolt one day by completely "unplugging". The level of intrusion is unacceptable now, once the "Internet of Things" becomes more of a reality, it will be off the charts.

Is there anything in this bill that says its designed to protect children or anything close to that?

Because that's usually how this shite gets pushed through.
