China Tells Saudis It Wants To Buy Oil In Yuan, Not Dollar

The talk of Saudi price some oil using Yuan started 6 years ago. But did not go any where.
Recently, Saudi is scared by the frozen of Russian assets in US$/Euro by US and Europe. On the other hand, Russian Chinese Yuan Reserve are safe.
Saudi has invited Xi to visit Saudi. Hope Saudi and Xi can agree sth to make Yuan Oil really happen.
Otherwise, if no action just talking, Saudi is using this as a bargaining chip to negotiate with US.

Too many oligarchs and cartels heavily invested in the USD. Those types aren’t big on having their wealth made worthless. Plus, investing in communism has not been a safe bet in the past. Nobody is really going to put all their money at the whim of a dictator. Not a smart move long term.
