On Hannity a few minutes ago. Roberts says he wants no part of impeaching a President that is no longer in office.
It has been said that if we started that many people could be hauled in for inciting a riot.
Maxine, Kamala (offered bail for rioters) and so on...

I can’t stand Roberts, but he’s right. Nothing Trump said incited violence. The FBI even states that there was a plan to invade the Capital, even before Trump’s speech. There are no facts to support this impeachment, and Trump has freedom of Speech, that is protected. Kamala is more guilty here, and still should be protected speech.....

Their entire narrative would be destroyed if he’s allowed due process. It would expose their hysterical overreactions. They can uphold their narrative if they pass on the trial for legal reasons.

The President of the Senate (Kamala Harris) in this case would decide who would preside over the trial. She could appoint herself or one of the longer term senators ( of course it would be a Dem). Probably Leahy.

I disagree with the theory this would be good for Trump. Even if his lawyers showed video evidence of antifa they won't care. And they would never allow him to bring any election fraud into it. It would be Jan 6th period, and people died.

Yeah, I don't think he would get much fraud stuff in -- but, if they could show good visuals of the timing of his speech and when people got in, that may help educate the masses. Then, throw up some info like this:
