As soon as it becomes a contract - there is no stopping what you can do with it. Hence this. There is no stopping this.
There is an innate sickness, and a lack of dealing with reality, that is behind the entire surrogacy thing - transgender or not.
And yes, surrogacy is different from adoption, different from foster situations, different from a kid who becomes an orphan catastrophically, etc. Specifically because it starts as a contract, rather than an unfortunate situation.

I’m with you on being uncomfortable with clearly mentally ill people adopting children, but surrogacy as a concept is not the droid you’re looking for.
