CDC daily covid tracker Jan.22,'20 to july14,'21 I get it that the daily covid cases are increasing but there are still 95% less than the peak in January. Same with deaths . This info comes from the CDC site. Just google CDC and deaths or CDC and cases. I truly believe they are scaring those that do not want the vaccine. Notice how this started when they missed Biden's July 4th goal of at least 70 % adults have at least one shot?

If you ask the generals, the military will be helping insure 70% of the adults in the country get shot soon.

Looks like they are already moving the goal posts. CDC shows 67.9% of the population 18+ have at least 1 shot (reasonable to believe anyone getting the 1st will get the 2nd once eligible). And now the mayo clinic is showing a goal of at least 80% of the entire population.

80% is an extremely high threshold to clear and is likely not achievable

COVID yesterday, COVID today, COVID tomorrow, COVID forever!

My guess on the real number is well below 50%. Getting 50% vaccinated seems not achievable.

Hospitalizations
Here's another good one showing hospitalizations, which people are freaking out about.
The increase is still WAYYYYY lower than we've seen during any part of the pandemic. This is a big nothingburger but people are acting like we are on the verge of disaster.

Especially if you consider the percentage of the population that is under 18 hovers around 24%. I also recall seeing something once they dropped the eligible age to 12 that the percentage under 14 was around 18%, but do not remember the source as that was several months ago.
If true, that means roughly 85% (assuming 3% represents the 12-13 age group) of the population would be eligible for the vaccine, and they are aiming for 80%?

I think the 80% goal is only for 18 and above
But the 18-29 crowd just isn't interested in getting it

The CDC shows 48.3% fully vaccinated and 55.8% with at least 1 shot. So we are nearly at 50% of the entire population.
Obviously, this relies on trusting the CDC figures, but why would they inflate the numbers. If anything, they would deflate the vaccination figures
