The Air Force has discharged 27 service members for refusing to receive a COVID vaccine, marking the first service members to be involuntarily discharged for balking the rule.

A spokesperson for the Air Force said the 27 active duty members discharged received counseling about the vaccines, and when they still refused, commanders made the decision to discharge them for refusing to comply with the Pentagon's vaccine rule, a lawful order.

All 27 have been in the Air Force for less than six years and may have had additional reasons for their discharge but refusal to get a COVID vaccine was one of the reasons for the discharge.

Thank you for giving your life for our country but you’re fired for refusing experimental vaccine for 99% survival rate virus.

Hmmmmm, so, maybe all 27 were just unbecoming and unfit to wear the uni in the first place? Whatever, Bing Bong.

Oh, and I'm not saying they deserved it. It makes better new for the sheep when someone "REFUSES" a lawful order.

Man you frickers are sensitive today.

They’re better off. When 3 and 4 star generals will openly lie to the troops and they don’t care if the troops know it, they’re not fit to lead.

Probably Honorable under other conditions, though I'd have to see their DD-214 to know for sure.

This is the answer. My SIL is retiring with 20 in this February. Done with it. Done with the top brass BS. They offered a fairly attractive "please stay" bonus. Nope.

They’ve absolutely gutted the trust in upper leadership. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Are they classifying it as "dishonorable discharge"? Even more messed up if so.
It is determined by the service component. However, in a discussion with a friend this morning (fellow colonel), the commanding general of the organization they are assigned to said there will be a review of their objection and the possibility of a general officer letter of reprimand (this is an Army organization). They are not aware of characterization of service upon discharge.

Exactly. They should blindly follow every order given since this administration has shown its propensity for wise decision-making and keen military strategy.

That’s what my civilian DoD friends had to do if they declined the clot shot.

This is the part that sends me ballistic. If you are forcing them to take the vaccination then so be it. But do not be petty and give them a GOMAR if they refuse.

Dropping my packet in May. 24 years is enough. So many senior NCO's are retiring now, just tired of the BS.

Yep buddy of mine said his Wing King is demanding all SNCOs retiring to have a personal "exit" interview with him. In a nut shell he is telling them they are selfish uncaring and unprofessional to retire.

Btw this O-6, I can't call him a Colonel was and is the biggest yes man I have ever had the unfortunate experience of serving with.

I would tell that Colonel that I'm going to assume everything he just said is for attribution when I contact my local media affiliate and during my retirement speech...oh, and in my visit to the IG.

My cousin is being discharged from the marines for this. His dad is an old vet and is pissed at him.

In his case, I think it's more that he found an out to leave the military rather than not wanting the vaccine.
