it would be inappropriate if you think the meaning of the establishment clause of the first amendment starts with everson vs board of education in 1947. Also one must completely ignore the very next line of the Constitution where the government must not limit the free expression of religion in any instance. The establishment clause refers specifically to the establishment of a state church such as the church of England, in which people were required to participate in and fund through parish tithes even if the were not believers. You have to be a pretty giant dumbass to think that the act of seeing someone else say a prayer in your presence in a government building is tantamount to the us goverment establishing a state sponsored religion that you are required to participate in, rather than someone just excercising their own freedom of religious expression. Even Thomas Jefferson, who penned the words seperation of church and state in a private letter, would disagree with the current interpretation and enforcement of that passage.
