"Car-ma" can really be something else

It seems like a sad story. A man at a lake, in the early morning hours, hit by his own car and killed.
Except ... it wasn't his car. He was in possession of it - because he stole it. And he was trying to submerge it into the lake to hide the evidence.

I don't get the "get rid of evidence" of him stealing it part, was there another dead body in the trunk?
Just wiping it down and walking away wouldn't have worked?
And damn...from the other stories north TX doesnt look like a very safe place. From a dude found died at an ATM to one in some drunks windshield.
