Can't be coincidence

In the general area of the 3 states I have lived, (I'm 35) these cities are literal hell holes with no and i mean NO hope of ever recovering.
Monroe
Shreveport
NOLA
Beaumont
Jackson
Natchez
Baton Rouge
WTF has happened to all these places? Are we allowed to say out loud that anywhere they take over goes to shite? Like at this point it's so obvious and no one will ever talk about it.
