I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

The pledge is one of the best indoctrination tactics we have left.

Do kids even still get to do this, because I mean omfg it has the word God in it. We can't have non religious kids get triggered by hearing the G word...

Until it's Allah, then it's hip and cool and freedom of religion and stuff.

Just another double standard by the Left.

And yea I'm mad, they've taken prayer out of school

Yarp. It feels very "Dear Leader, God of the Sun and Moon" ish. If I ever get my dick wet again and have kids, I'm going to teach them that they're in the best country on the planet (mostly by default), but to distrust the government and patriotic bullshite.

Being able to burn the flag is more important than the flag itself.

The pledge is creepy as shite. One of those things I didn't really understand until they stopped making us say it every day.

A lie from lazy conservatives pandering for votes. And what you're referring to happened back in 1962 - movement led by a lady named Madalyn Murray O'Hair. Ironically enough, one of her sons became a very well known Baptist minister.

As it stands today, there is not a single rule or law in place preventing any student from praying at school, as long as it does not disturb normal classroom procedures and isn't forced.

This is the most confusing ode to God, kids and prayer I've ever read

A child can pray at school anytime they want too. The prayer you are talking about is the grandstanding, meaningless prayer that Jesus himself warned His followers about.
