United Healthcare:
stock price: 07/16/12 - $50.85
07/14/17 - $186.90 (+267%)
Aetna:
08/17/12 - $35.89
07/17/17 - $155.27 (+322.7%)
Cigna
07/18/12 - $42.94
07/17/17 - $172.06 (+294%)
Humana
07/31/12 - $58.90
07/14/17 - $239.00 (+235%)
Centene
07/20/12 - $18.46
07/12/17 - $82.50 (+366%)
WellCare
07/18/12 - $66.96
07/12/17 - $183.12 (+183%)
The scammers.......er, I mean insurance companies listed are the largest in the nation per a site called Investopedia. As you can plainly see, since O'care was enacted and began implementation they have ALL experience TRIPLE digit growth in their stock value. ALL OF THEM.
Now, in true bipartisan fashion the monies from insurance companies, their PACS, and lobbyist groups are fairly equally spread out over both sides of the aisle according to opensecrets.org.
Again, besides the insane amount of campaign contributions who wants to bet that since 2012 how many of these lying bastard's "blind trust" stock accounts are incredibly heavily vested in these insurance companies.
Bring us to 2017, post HUGE profit gains by these fricking crooks the actual product that insurance companies are delivering to their constituents seems to be imploding and the public is about ready to revolt what is happening. After voting over FIFTY times to repeal this fricking sham since taking over the House and Senate when they knew damn good and well the POTUS wouldn't sign it; how many times has a full repeal been voted on since Trump's inauguration?
ZERO
Trump not only would sign a full repeal, he ran his campaign on a full repeal. Since the Recucklicans can't seem to come up with a viable bill to actually provide what taxpayers (key word here) are wanting Trump has actually advocated for a stand alone repeal and fix later proposal already sitting in Congress. Did "Republicans" act"
We all know the answer to that. They don't want to repeal the fricking bill. Not because of killing "muh chillens" in the street, but because they don't to loose their GOT DAMN gravy train from the insurance business.
What we're left with in the 24/7 news cycle is muh meetings, muh lies, muh collusion, muh interference and what every fricking carrot they can dangle in front of us to keep us from paying attention to what their lying, crooked, stealing arse is really doing behind the scenes.
It's not a Democrat problem, it's not a Republican problem, it's not a libertarian problem.
It's a fricking corruption problem we're ALL complicit in for arguing about dumb shite while they rob us blind.
Not to go all TX Tiger this morning because this isn't a global cabal issue doing this to us. It's a Washington DC issue and it's past time to send ALL of these do nothing mother frickers to the cheese line with a pink slip.

I am engaged, and I'm apprehensive to comment on my banishment other than to say I felt this one was less deserved than some other in my past. However, I appreciate the admins for letting me back on.

Money controls our government "representation". Insurance companies have a lot of money. They control said representation.
Posted on 7/16/17 at 11:34 am to bamarep
Even a PAC for Trump got money

Thanks boosie. Post more. Most of the time around here I'm just screwing with the resident proggies so don't take me too seriously.
Today, I just woke up pissed off about this for some reason and decided to do a little research on it.

Now this is interesting.

NONE of them are immune. There isn't a bigger Trump guy around than me but unfortunately the machine is bigger than he is.
Posted on 7/16/17 at 11:38 am to bamarep
Agreed. Add all of the money together and then add the amount Obama paid them off to STFU in the beginning and the insurance companies and DC are rolling in the dough, as the working class suffers.

Taxation without representation? Sounds like fightin' words.

Even the beloved Rand Paul is on the take. They ALL are.

I'd like to also add that in no way am I against a company making a profit for providing a service or product people are willing to pay for.
Companies experiencing this kind of growth don't need a fricking penny from the taxpayer outside of the cost of the service/product being purchased.
Aetna, BCBS, UnitedHealth, Iowa corn farmers, Elon Musk; frick them all with a dripping dick when it comes to taking my taxpayer money for the sake of corporate profits.

It's why I laugh when people suggest cutting their salaries. Their salaries are a drop in the bucket compared to the kickbacks and legalized bribery (lobbying) they receive.
Posted on 7/16/17 at 11:51 am to dbeck
did they ever vote that they can't do insider trading? add that money to their kickback money and they are all laughing their asses off all the way to their island homes. then, as you said, add in their regular pay (THEY GET COLA raisies) regular America does not,! and they are all as rich as Feinstein, Pelosi and McCain.
