Can someone please explain why the bathroom issue is such a big deal?

How can lawmakers possibly think this is such an issue that it needs to be in the front and center above all other issues? There are people who cannot afford healthcare, have no jobs, living in areas of poverty with rampant drugs, how is this even a damn thing at all?
Apparently the Texas Senate is drenched in debate on this dumb af bill that should never exist.

We shouldn't make laws about common sense biological issues; if you have a dick go into the boys room......if other go into the girls room.

Because the modern day Democrat party has failed in almost every aspect of government. Due to this failure, they need divisive issues that deflect from said failures.
Nothing insults the average person's intelligence more than telling them someone with a penis should be able to go into a designated women's restroom.
It is really the perfect distraction when you think about it.

I don't see why there should be any law passed allowing or prohibiting certain sets of people from entering any restroom. Can we just go go back to 5 years ago when this wasn't on anybody's radar?
