Calm Down, People. DACA is Overblown

Look, there are only 800,000 "dreamers" in the DACA program. That is a drop in the bucket compared to the 20-30 million illegals in the country (some estimates put the number of illegals closer to 50 million). If you've ever been to Texas, Cali, or Arizona, it's easy to believe the 50 million number.
So why are we crying about 800,000 people? If Trump caves on DACA in order to get a wall and more leeway to start deporting adult illegals, I am fine with it. I never believed for a second that Trump would be able to deport them all. Get real. It would take a massive military operation and martial law to accomplish that. We have the last 40 years of congressional inaction to blame for our predicament and we're going to have to live with it to some degree. About the best we can do is stop the bleeding.
Who's with me?

Most sensible people are as far as deporting the "dreamers" being almost impossible.
However, most people want (and are understandably nervous given the comments from Chuck/Nancy) Trump to get a major win for signing DACA into law. I'll hold my breath

Why is it presumed that the wall is a bargaining chip for "saving" DACA?
That wall is never being built, and legislation for Dreamers would have gone forward regardless.

i still haven't seen anything that indicates Trump is caving...I mean he already killed DACA. He did what he promised.
Now if congress wants to pass something that addresses the mess that the DACA executive order created, it is an opportunity for Trump to get things done as he will clearly have veto power in the event that something does actually get passed.
I have seen nothing indicating Trump will accept amnesty. I have only seem him reference solutions that would likely be covered by VISAs to start with.
If the solution is granting VISAs to those already here with productive jobs, I can't see this as Trump caving. He already delivered on the promise to end DACA and there appears no way he'd let the unemployed or criminals stay.
This is all a big nothingburger.

Both opinions not grounded in facts

So why are they building it in Otay Mesa as we speak and why are people protesting/ melting if it will never be built?

Indeed. they are just my mere opinions.
But as to my original question, why is it presumed that this 180 on DACA is for the sake of the wall?

You miss the bigger picture.
When the kids are made legal, the adults get made legal easier. This is the start of legalizing all 20 million.
And a wall is useless once the Dems control Texas.

If there's a wall built and Democrats control Washington until the end of time, it doesn't matter.
They'll just knock it down or ignore it.
Face it. The globalists always get what they want.

People are finally realizing that dreamers are American and it would be a shame to ship them off. All Americans were basically in the dreamers shoes at one point or another

I voted for Trump, you are making excuses.
-No wall
-amnesty for illegals now
-no tax reform
-no repeal or replace
I'm pretty disappointed.

e site on Otay Mesa where models of competing proposals to build President Donald Trump’s border wall are to be built is now nearly surrounded by a chain link fence, though there is still no official timeline for when companies that won a bidding contest will begin work.
Over the past week the fence, approximately eight feet high, has been constructed around the building site. The fence has a green screen on it, blocking views of the work on the prototype walls, and is plastered with signs from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) designating it a restricted area and warning off trespassers.

so they built a chain link fence around a test site?
and that somehow is equivalent of them "building the wall as we speak"?
the frick?

It's Congress' responsibility to fix it and Trump will flex on DACA for security funding

Does it not say they are building the walls behind the fence?
So they are building it as we speak in Otay Mesa
Is it that hard to follow

DACA is an illegal program implemented by Barack Obama. Don't care how the they do it, or how much it cost, those 800,000 people must be deported. This is the standard modus operandi in Washington. Illegal becomes legal.
