I'm calling semi bs by Calif. on this. Just yesterday I bought a 12 pack of water, Clover Valley, at a store. It's bottled by Niagra Bottling Co. in Ontario, CA.
My question - if water is in short supply out there then how in the heck can it be legal to ship CA water to other states in the country? Seems a little hypocritical on the government's part.

I don't know anything about Calif's drought. But I think it's highly unlikely that a guy would call a gardening show and tell a lie. It's not like he was gonna get free stuff. And the host of the show, Ron Wilson, seemed to agree with him. Not skeptical at all.
I also know that there is a Snitch Hotline. That was in the Wall Street Journal so I don't think it's made up. It's designed to catch people watering at night. If you see your neighbor doing it you call the hotline and cops check it out. The motivation to snitch is basically "OK, if I can't water my damn lawn I'm sure as hell not gonna let you get away with watering yours."
