The agreements, which were never executed, would have given then-top prosecutor Yuri Lutsenko a business relationship with President Trump’s personal lawyer, while Rudolph Giuliani would have profited from a person who was helping him try to dig up dirt on one of Trump’s political rivals.

Was the "dirt" that was being dug...the truth? Was it on Joe and Hunter Biden, for their BLATANT corruption and stealing MILLIONS of OUR tax money?

When I see Hillary and Joe and Obama prosecuted for crimes for which factual evidence is there, then we'll talk about Manafort, Flynn, Rudy, et al.

If the Left keeps this BS going...the Right will either elect, or fall in behind with guns, and 'Adolph Hitler' type. They'd better drop this crap...or we'll all pay. Argue honestly...or down we go.

Was wondering why Trump basically disavowed Rudy G. In his Bill O’Reilly interview last night.

Basically saw this article before it was published so he got the heads up. These writers give people like the POTUS a chance to comment first so he wisely distances himself.

Well played Donald, well played

sounds like Rudy should have registered as a foreign agent. I'm sure he will be fine though.

I am reserving judgement on this for four reasons.

1. It is the WaPo.

2.
quote:

according to people familiar with the discussions.

3. It's a bombshell (that is not exactly a bombshell since the agreements were never executed if they actually existed in the first place) that drops the day before Thanksgiving. No real bombshell drops the day before Thanksgiving.

4. The Ukrainian Prosecutor General mentioned in the story is the same guy that was hired by the former Ukrainian President Petroshenko to replace the prosecutor that was fired by Poroshenko after former VP Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1,000,000,000 in US AID.

This story has bigger holes in it that the Titanic, and even if it is true, is Giuliani getting paid by the Ukrainian government (which he never actually was according to the story) a problem as long as he reports it? IIRC Manafort's crime was not that he worked as a political consultant for former Ukrainian president Yanovich, but that he did not report the income.

You know how I know that you did not read the story?

quote:

The agreements were never executed, and there is no indication that Giuliani was ultimately paid by Lutsenko or other Ukrainian officials.

quote:

all of the retainer letters under consideration included “the necessary notice of FARA registration,” referring to the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

quote:

No money was ever received, and no legal work was ever performed

quote:

I'm sure he will be fine though.

The agreements were never executed, the agreements included the necessary notice of FARA registration, no money was ever exchange, and no legal work was ever performed. Giuliani will be fine even if this story is 100% true, because according to the story Giuliani and his partners were in compliance with the FARA laws, but that does not matter since he never actually did any work for them.

He actually has a pretty good defense for that, though. He was to be acting as a foreign agent on behalf of POTUS.

Rudy and Trump have been on a crime spree. This is the most corrupt presidency by far in my lifetime. Geez guys. I know most of you guys love Orange Man, but for real this Swamp is dirtier than ever.

The agreement was never executed, no legal work was done, and no money changed hands? How is that a crime?
