Former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is being tapped as a possible Cabinet member in President-elect Donald Trump’s administration, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

Some of the names include supporters Newt Gingrich and Rudy Giuliani, while others include former contenders during the presidential primary, including Ben Carson and Chris Christie.

One name that stands out for Louisianians is Jindal’s, who served as governor between 2008 and 2016. He entered the presidential race but suspended his campaign last November after failing to attract enough support during the primaries.

The Wall Street Journal said Wednesday that sources within Trump’s team are considering Jindal as secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

"The team has also been assembling a list of people to fill key jobs in a Trump administration. Some have been close to home," the report said.

Jindal’s roles in public office include secretary of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals and representing Louisiana’s 1st District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Horrible. Can they at least pick a governor who has had success?

Hate Jindal, but wasn't he doing this for Reagan before?

Trumps band of losers will be his downfall if that's the road he goes down. He needs to keep up the progressive mindset and not just go status quo with people like Jindal, Christie, Giuliani, etc.

Jindal is much better off working as DHH head than running a state. He has done very, wry well at the federal level already.

I can get behind this appointment - even though Louisiana took a screwing under Jindal.

Let's hope this is just speculation. There is going to be a sea of names over the next few weeks.

Hopefully Jindal and Chris Christie just go away quietly.

Not so fast everyone.

Jindal may be horrible, but how much more outrage are you hungry for from Louisiana liberals?

Seriously? A jindal appointment overtakes the fact that Republicans have taken control over the entire US government?
