Yes, I liked the sound of it in 2016 when he promised to do it last time and didn't follow through. Trump isn't going to do mass deportations. He had four years to do that already and other than talk did very little for the border.

He was on par with previous years. Down slightly. Attempts to enter were down bigly. If you’re just focusing on removals Biden is the winner, by far. You approve of Biden’s immigration policies? Moron.

We have 40 to 50 million here already. We need much more than just 'decreasing' the amount. One is too many with the numbers we have. Trump followed up on none of his border promises it was all talk. NY's highest court kinda already addressed this bullshite when it struck down NYC's effort to let illegals vote in local elections.
I could see him do this in July so as to make it difficult to get any judicial relief before the election (SCOTUS would be out of term until October and by then MILLIONS of mail in ballots would already have been sent in).
Granting a Green Card to noncitizen spouses does not grant a right to vote. The very idea is nativist fear porn.
