Actually I think what he said is correct and I wish I hadn't said the word Christian because it detracts from my point. Pretty dumb post, but the pussification of our society is astounding. For grown arse men to be so affected by the words of an old arse man is embarrassing to me. The "emotional time" and "healing" etc the Clippers had to go through was nauseating to hear about. An old bastard said some shitty things. Is anyone surprised or really that hurt? I'm hoping it's just media sensationalizing it for a story, but the grown arse men of the NBA sure as frick played along with the "we had to push through the difficult time" bullshite. Not once did I hear from media or players "the old man is a scoundrel and we all knew that. Let's be adults and move on. Not that big a deal." Very disappointing.

This is the part that is worthy of criticism. Is it reasonable for a Christian athlete to decide to strike during "the most crucial point of the business cycle" because someone overheard the owner, in private, saying that he thinks christians are all crazy and that he hates them all? Keep in mind, he has employed them and hasn't discriminated against them at all.
The thought that the NBA didn't have a standing to force Sterling out is crazy. However, there is a real argument that the position the players took was inappropriate.

What does that have to do with anything?
The point I'm making is that people are rightfully concerned with someone being persecuted for their personal, private beliefs.
Many of those people are wrongfully pointing to the NBA when making that statement. There is a real argument to be made against the players association though if the latest stories about the players threatening to strike are true.

Theoretically, you would "stop it" by enforcing whatever provisions exist within the collective bargaining agreement with the players. There is no accusation from the current players that the owners aren't living up to the the CBA or are engaging in discrimination or any other activity that would indicate a hostile workplace. Work stoppage is a huge issue and the players would be violating the collective bargaining agreement. I don't know what the legal recourse would be, but I don't think it matters.
But, that doesn't go to my point that the NBA acting to protect its self interest is rational. The players unilaterally deciding that they won't play if an owner isn't removed simply because they disagree with who he is behind closed doors, is not.
