One of the most important, and remarkably under-publicized facts that came out at trial is that one of the detectives, while interrogating Zimmerman at the police station that night, told him that the entire incident had been caught on surveillance video. The detective was bluffing, but Zimmerman didn’t know that. His reaction: “Thank God”.

definitely my first time coming across that info

jesus christ, some of the mad in the comments.

someone asking if they're in Seattle or Alabama.

nothing in that article was remotely racist. I sincerely detest the average white liberal.

Good read. People ought to be out in the streets protesting journalists who sought to mislead them in order to support their own agenda rather than this verdict. No one ever seems to get pissed about the right stuff...

Wow really good article. I almost feel as if the public deserves an apology. The news fabricated alot of things to make this look like a typical pre civil whites racist crime. And because zimmerman was not arrested. The public was outraged for what they thought was the truth. wow

really great article

there are still people that feel like zimmerman "created a hostile environment" by getting out of his car

The paragraph you quoted should be plastered as comment number one in the comment section of every TM/GZ article written from this day forward.

The only negative responses in that thread do not -at any time- even attempt to rebut a single, specific point the author made, to me that's just raging ignorance.

OJ Simpson was not on trial for being an egotistical, narcissistic, insanely jealous ex-husband; he was on trial for murder. Mr. Zimmerman was not on trial for being a self-important, somewhat juvenile, neighborhood gadfly who should not be carrying a pistol. He was on trial for second degree murder or, failing that, manslaughter. When arrested the police let him go because what he did, tragic and stupid, was not murder; it met all the benchmarks for self defense. There may have been some kind of criminal case to be brought against Zimmerman (irresponsible gun ownership?) but that's not the case that was filed. Immature overreactive terror is not a crime. I don't think the jury had any choice.

I think we ought to start organizing 'TELL THE TRUTH" demonstrations in front of NBC, CBS, ABC etc.

I would volunteer a week of my time each year to participate in such a demonstration.

Make up signs DEMANDING truthful reporting on race 'issues.'

EXPOSE their past lies and distortions.

Right outside their offices.

The most disputed question that night — who was screaming for help before the shot was fired by Zimmerman? — has family and friends on both sides divided. But it raises another question that essentially answers itself: Who would more likely scream for help? The person being beaten, or the one doing the beating?

This might be one of the biggest lies of the whole event.

THe autopsy revealed that the only physical injuries to TM (other than the gunshot wound) was to his Treyvon's knuckles. He had bruised knuckles from pummeling GZ in the head constantly.

So, why in the hell would the "No_Limit_N****"" be screaming -- because his knuckles were hurting him so bad because he was beating GZ unmercifully?

But, liberals never let plain and simple common sense get in the way of a good lie.

I'll add any right leaning voter who sides with liberals on anything.....like voting for Obama(idiots) and same sex marriage (idiots).

"Progressive" thinking is idiotic and ultimately denies liberties.
