The fact that the media did not treat President Obama as much as the opposition as they are President Trump is giving the opening to slap you guys around, and I think he’s largely correct for slapping the media around by saying there’s a bias that exists for Trump that didn’t exist for Obama. The best way to respond to that for the media is not to defend ourselves by saying, “Well, that’s an attack on the press, that’s an attack on the media,” it’s to say , “Look, say what you’re going to say, it’s either true or its false,” and then treat it as a true false statement as opposed to a fight between the media and Donald Trump, because he’s going to win that fight every time, at least in the minds of the public. The trucker from Michigan does not care if the media gets hit.

The media has no one to blame but themselves for Trump having the high ground to attack them in this war for the attention of the american public. Their fawning coverage of one politician was always going to come back to bite them in the arse when the opposition party eventually takes back the White House.

If they were as harsh on Obama as they were with Bush, Trump is still filming episodes for the apprentice in Trump Tower right now.

I've been listening to Shapiros podcast multiple times a week since the election. He does a very good job of giving an honest opinion of how Trump is doing from someone who wasn't a fan of Trump and isn't going to cheerlead.

Essentially he has said Trumps actions have been overwhelmingly good so far and Words have been pretty bad, which is probably fair. He likes to point out that just because Obama lied a lot doesn't make it OK for Trump to lie and that Republicans need to quit using "but Obama did it" because that usually means it was bad.

He also spends a lot of time poking fun at the lefts hysteria and overreactions and the hypocrisy of generally everything they said and do.

This describes me to a TEE.

I absolutely LOVE what Trump is doing but I absolutely hate the way he cannot control his love of self.

I kind of want Trump to troll-nominate Shapiro for SCOTUS (hey, he's got a law degree!) just to see the Senate hearings.

The Shapiro thug life videos might be the best thing on you-tube. He straight up murders any opposition he's up against.

Ben Shapiro and Ted Cruz would basically own Youtube if either got the chance to spar off with Congress

The pompous CNN host pretty much displays the problem with CNN and the media as a whole.

"...well people are still watching us!"

Rolls eyes and then "we'll when the president tells a blatant falsehood should we just let that go?"

They still don't get it. As I watched the CBS evening news tonight, they actually fact checked random statements from Trump's press conference with PM May today. So they could say, no the President exaggerated and here's why.

How many fact checks did the media run on Obama over 8 years? Not many I'd guess.

how many fact checks did they run when it was discovered that the Obama admin was actively spying on the media?

He's such a great articulator. Hits the nail on the head when he says that in treating Obama as an opposition in the past less than they do Trump now, they are now giving him an opening to criticize them and slap them around when they do call out Trump. In moving forward, he says that instead of crying about Trump's criticism of the media, "Treat it as a true/false statement as opposed to a fight between the media and Trump, because he's going to win every time." Of course*, the female commentator didn't respond with anything of substance.

*of course because lolcnn not because female

Exactly. They don't get it or they just don't care, I honestly don't know anymore. I'm some what of a southern blue dog dem but this party is quickly leaving me behind with the type of absurdity I've witnessed lately and the media is complicit in it.

If they were as harsh on Obama as they were with Bush, Obama would have been a far better POTUS for it.
