True enough, but not in this case. TGT sales decline has nothing to do with bathrooms.

I hope you find happiness. I wish my online presence didn't upset you so much but that's a you problem. You can always bypass my posts since you find fault with literally everything I post. You might be happier if you didn't waste your time insulting you someone got clearly despise.

No hard feelings on my end. I just can't help but feel concern for miserable people. Cheer up.

I've never seen you post anything but drivel or emoticons. You definitely bring a lot to the board.

I don't think it's all the bathroom issue, but I do know multiple mothers with kids have stopped going because they are worried about said kids.

Hilarious because one of them is a radical feminist, and she's not a fan of guys becoming women.

Damn. Displaced Buckeye is perpetuating his usual m.o. with somebody, and for once it isn't me.

I feel conflicted.

it's quite a shame how much irrational fear drives people's actions these days

Walmart and Costco are both up about 10%, they are probably better comparisons for Target.

Fear? Nah.

Justifiable discomfort and wariness? Yep.

I don't know much about Costco's adaptations, but Walmart has a major focus on online operations, to compete with Amazon.

I think Walmart, besides being cheaper and larger, is a better run business than Target. The bathroom issue is probably more of an indicator variables than a causal one.

So the sales figures are wrong?

Btw, I know several people boycotting them.

I can appreciate that some people care a lot about the bathroom thing. I get that they would change their behaviors to avoid something that they really disagree with. I just find it hard to believe that enough people would care enough about the bathrooms to inconvenience themselves or change their behaviors that it would really make a difference.

No, but the question is why. The most recent earnings indicate the revenue was down about 4.6% (1 billion) from the fourth quarter the previous year.

On the other hand, Amazon was up 22%. Now I know you can't attribute the to all to retail, but it appears that 4 billion, or 50% of that increase is from product sales. That makes up for Target's 1 billion drop with 3 billion to spare.
