Only someone on the far fringes would believe that Breitbart is more trustworthy than CNN.

Damn, even other people in the Trump WH worried about Flynn's loyalty.

Good. He had no business in that role in the first place.

There may be hope for this regime after all.

If its true then its true, but so far, it doesn't appear true unless I'm missing some detail.

I didn't vote for Bannon, so either way isn't really a big deal to me. This is already a bad look for him.

not a big deal, other than the war for power in the white house.
It's at least insight into how the war's going. There's a lot of scuttlebutt about McMaster, Dunford (CJCS), and even Mattis feeling relatively marginalized compared to Trump's inner circle--notably his son-in-law and Bannon. This could simply be a tactical move to placate McMaster or it could signal a shift.

It's not nothing.

At the other end of that scale it could signal trouble brewing in some corner or another. Public shakeups typically speak to some significant private problems that have been churning behind the scenes for a while.

Also, very interesting timing.

In other words, he still holds a lot of Trump's strings.

It is indeed a big nothing burger; the media will say they pushed for and accomplished.

NT74 will be along to say he despises Bannon and Pepe; and this is some unsaid sign that the IC are dead wrong in daring to allow it be known--- that Obama, Rice et al...were political espionage POS hacks. Or...things like... the slime bucket McCain was in on the the peegate dossiere'.

IOW's the IC is somehow-set-straight- and only on the up and up if Bannon is is not privy to the nat sec council.

Gen. McMaster picked his people, that's all.

You know I dislike Bannon. Not personally, I don't know him personally, but his anti-media, anti-elite politics. (BTW - I totally get where he is coming from, he is just too extreme, it's not like EVERYONE in Washington is some corrupt a-hold, I mean, cmon that just is not the case).

That having been said this one thing I never understood. I think Bannon would have been good on the NSC because of his degrees.

I never got the opposition to him on the NSC (and again I am NOT a fan of his).

After serving as president of the student government association,[29] he graduated from Virginia Tech in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in urban planning and holds a master's degree in national security studies from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. In 1985,[32] Bannon received a Master of Business Administration degree with honors[33] from Harvard Business School.[34]

Gotta wonder if any of this has to do with the Nunes fiasco.

exactly. anyone who thinks this is a "big deal" doesn't understand how these kind of council selections work.

Bannon was basically there as an interim council person.

He is still very much the right hand man of trump in the white house.
