Alaska shops were pretty pricey, figured it was probably due to overregulation

Can a city inside the corporate limits of a State "decriminalize" anything?
Do cities in Georgia make laws?

I am not a fan of legalization, but I am fine with decriminalizing up to an ounce of marijuana.

I'm not sure, but I think cities have more legal standing when it comes to decriminalizing a substance than states do for legalizing it.

Was wanting to see if this was asked before asking myself?

if Louisiana would get its head out of its arse, they could fix the state's budget in a handful of years.
you know how much money a dispensary on bourbon street would make during mardi gras? a killing.

They cannot ignore State law, regardless of what ordinances that they pass...

Technically, they aren't ignoring the law. They just have a different statute for the infraction. Remember that decriminalizing it is not legalizing it, it is just changing the severity of the penalty for simple possession.

I'm all for legalizing pot, but comparing dependence on tobacco and alcohol to dependence on marijuana is simply disingenuous. What are the numbers for states where pot is legal?
Posted on 10/3/17 at 9:03 am to rbWarEagle
Most drug addicts are in denial that they are an addict. They will make every excuse or rational to convince themselves that they are in control and are "NOT" an addict.

what crime will they make legal next? burglary?

No it isn't. The numbers represent the percentage of people using the substance in question who become dependent on it.

That's a nice red herring.
