At what point will Trump start bashing the GOP?

Guy has to be sick and tired of his own party going against him. When will he just say frick it and publicly blast these senators?
Posted on 7/28/17 at 5:26 am to cardswinagain
He should starting today.
He needs to distance himself from those useless fricks as much as possible. They are going to get hammered in the next elections.
Republican voters aren't like Democrat voters. They don't line up and vote because a party boss tells them to do so. Republican voters hold their party accountable.

He's been bashing them for a long time. See his Murkowski comments from yesterday.
Also, why wasn't he "selling" the repeal more to the public?

Flynn had to quit. Spicer resigned. Tillerson is taking a break. Other staff quit. Can't get through meaningful legislation. It's ridiculous at this point.
I voted for the guy, but, he needs to worry more about governing and leading rather than Tweeting and blasting folks. This administration is becoming Busch league amateur hour.

He held rallies to repeal Obamacare.
He called the republicans out numerous times for voting to repeal over and over in the past and not doing so now that they have a president who will sign it. "Send me the bill. I'll sign it!"
He called congressional members and worked behind the scenes. Gingrich himself said this doesn't even get to a vote without Trump's work and involvement selling, even threatening, some congressional members.
Trump doesn't own this. He did his part and would have signed it. The republicans in congress own this. They are on record.

What about his past made you think he could lead the country? He acted just like this on the campaign and in prior life.

"I will repeal Obamacare and replace it with something terrific. It will be easy"
This was an oft repeated campaign promise by Trump. Why not hold him to it?

He did everything he could to try and make that happen.
I blame the republicans in congress for dropping the ball.

Probably because like the rest of their voters, he believed the GOP actually wanted to repeal ObamaCare like they claimed they were going to do.

I just did not like Hillary. Even though she was the nominee of my party I just could not vote for in either the primary or the general election.
I held my nose & voted for Trump (well, more like voted against Hillary.) I was hoping he would rise to the challenge & be presidential and dignified. Sadly, he has not. I can not see myself voting for him again. I just wish my party would have nominated someone worth a damn. Hopefully we will do so in 2020.

So you'll give him a pass on the wall, too? Since that's congress' responsibility?
Posted on 7/28/17 at 6:09 am to Sentrius
Exactly.
I expected Trump to push to get rid of Obamacare. He did.
I expected the republicans in congress to vote to get rid of Obamacare. They did not.
Really that simple.

Bingo. Career politicians showing their "all talk, no action" BS that Trump talked about

He hasn't abandoned that promise to get the wall done. In fact, he just lit up a shite storm over trannies in the military to get a deal for funding for it.

Since that's congress' responsibility?
They just provide the funding for it and the president carries it out.
They just appropriated over a billion dollars for it and that's a step in the right direction.

No, he wanted to kill obamacare because it has Obama's name on it, because Obama made a funny about him at the congressional dinner.
One day you'll realize Trump is in it for Trump, not us plebs

Trump hasn't led on any major campaign issue. The GOP Congress is awful, but Trump had no reason to complain.
Instead of hiring competent people to sell his agenda, those people are on TV shite talking his other people.
Instead of telling Americans about the virtues of repeal, he's slamming his AG and whining about perceived crimes of irrelevant former political adversaries.
