The odds of you having a medical disaster that cost 27k dollars or more is very slim.
I don't think you really have an idea how much surgeries cost, much less an emergency surgery for something serious. 27k is a drop in the bucket.

the ACA. Hopefully, they can tweak it and get it corrected.
By tweaking it, you mean to change the fact that people who pay are actually paying for others as well?

I'm waiting for someone to come out here and tell us how the rate of increase of premiums under the ACA is decreasing. Of course, they are decreasing because people are switching to high deductible low premium plans with HSAs at record numbers. Because these plans have lower premiums, but higher deductibles, the premiums would be lower than for a traditional healthcare plan.

Amen brother! Obama and the Dems that voted for that crap are the most worthless SOBs ever to serve in Congress! Unbelievable what they did to regular working people.

Update:
The silver plan we selected (which is still crappy) cost us around $1,200/m. Just got the notice that our rate will increase to $1,420 in 2018 the coverage is worse.
Again I say, F every MFer who had a hand in crafting/keeping this disaster.

A small price to pay so that The Dear Leader could have a legacy . Just because you are saddled with essentially a second mortgage , you think Democrats give a shite ? Work harder , bitch - the People have needs. You are racist and hate children for even mentioning this.
