Auburn showing these nuts that we mean business in the south

It's amazing to see what cops who actually are allowed and willing to do their job can do.

Btw, Twitter considered this sensitive material....

Twitter

ETA: Three arrested, none students.

quote:

The Auburn Police Division have released the names and mugshots of the three individuals who got into a violent altercation during protests of white nationalist Richard Spencer's speech Tuesday afternoon on Auburn's campus. Police arrested Ryan Matthew King, 38, who is a tattoo artist from Montgomery; Benjamin Lee Hansen, 19, of Trussville; and Seth Miles Waldon, 27, a clerk from Birmingham. All three were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct. The arrests were made at approximately 6 p.m. after a fight broke out between two middle-aged protestors. The pair only got in about two punches before police took them to the ground and restrained them using plastic restraints. None of the three were students at Auburn University or affiliated with the University in any way. They also do not live in the Auburn area. Other than the one fight, no other violence broke out during Spencer's visit.

Good, but really arrests need to start being made, that one guy was absolutely interfering with a police officer, and got a warning. Should have hooked him up and took him down town

people have a right to defend themselves even from the police. police must get better (this video is a great example of them getting better) about being non-threatening and getting their point w/out immediately provoking fear in someone they are approaching/talking to.

I'd rather see police be respectful of the tension and give people some slack in these situations rather than just bust some skulls. It is a fine line when trying to keep control of a situation but the police in general have been having militant attitude/action issues.

At :16 when that dude with the trashcan lid approached the cop, he should have been taken to the ground and cuffed right then.

ONLY when the police are not doing their lawful duty. I mean if a cop just walked up and said "i' going to punch you in the face" you don't have to just stand there and take one to the grill cuz he's a cop. But when the LEO is in good faith doing their job, you have NO right to "defend yourself"

People really need to learn their rights.
