In other words, his reputation is what makes those claims noteworthy and credible, not whether he's anti-Trump or not. The most credible journalists are able to put their biases aside, and report it as objectively as possible.

I doubt it. I remember, shortly after Obamas first election, either Kathleen Sebilious, or Valerie Jarrett, saying "Never put anything in writing". It was in a captured "off mic" moment. It struck me as an odd thing to say.
