Don't worry. After they finally ban all guns.. they will start going after the almighty knife. There will be people screaming about how there needs to be 'common sense knife laws'.
People are only responsible for the deaths of others, if the villain can be portrayed as a supporter of the political faction that's deemed 'the enemy'.
