Greetings to Hungarian people! 300k people went out to protest against the corrupt Orban's regime. Something very similar happened in Bucharest in 2018. 600k people (me included) rioted against the corrupt leading party (PSD) to keep Romania in line with the West. The corrupt leader went to jail and the plans to get close to Russia and China were abandoned.

Will Orban join Eduard Shevardnadze, Vitalie Pîrlog, Askar Akayev, Viktor Yanukovych, and Serzh Sargsyan as pro-Russian leaders who thrown out of office because of protests? Also why is it that the most corrupt leaders in former communist countries are pro-Russian?

ETA: A little backgorund on the protests.

quote:

Magyar became widely known in February when he became the government’s whistleblower and delivered incendiary comments about the inner workings of Orban’s administration.

In March, he published a recording on his Facebook page of a January 2023 conversation with his ex-wife Varga, in which she detailed an attempt by aides to Orban’s cabinet chief, Antal Rogan, to interfere in the prosecution files in a corruption case centred on former Ministry of Justice State Secretary Pal Volner.
LINK

The former husband of one of Orban's ex-Justice minister spilled the beans on the dirty tricks that his former wife used on Orban's behalf to cover up corruption.

This must have been included in the $1.2 trillion spending bill that no one read.

Who knew that being anti-Europe would affect politicians in areas with populations trying to become developed European

That's what happened in Ukraine in 2014.

Orban wins a in Hungary by about 80-20.

This is a paid 3-letter/Soros op... Plain and simple.

The good thing is, Orban obviously knows this. He's kind of a gangster who basically got Soros banned from his home country. He's a very savvy dude.

How did the CIA get recordings of Orban's former justice minister telling her husband (at the time the recordings were made) what Orban was telling her to do? If the CIA is that good, how did it f**k up the Arab spring in Libya and Syria so bad?

ETA: I am not saying that western intelligence agencies are not involved. I am saying the CIA is not involved because the CIA f**ks up more things it touches than succeeds in. Plus if western intelligence agencies are involved which would not surprise me then it is much more likely to be France or Germany than the USA. Orban has been a thorn in the side of the EU for years so much so that the European Parliament considered limiting Hungary's right to vote earlier this year.

Do you know what led to the civil uprising in Ukraine in 2014?

Was the CIA forcing a Putin puppet to reject the EU to sign a shitty trade deal with Russia?

A country that was forced into subservience's to Russia and the USSR for decades isn't going to want to get close to their former tyrannical occupiers.

"His country" wants to be European.

I don't really give a shite about Orban, but if he wants to reject the EU/NATO then he needs to nut up and do it.

He's playing "globalist" by wanting to be part of Europe, but then trying to pretend to be anti-globalist in other ways. He needs to pick a lane.

Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets in downtown Budapest to protest against the government of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Reports said more than 10,000 people were expected to join the demonstration.

Someone needs to reread the article.

I haven't followed him too closely - it was funny watching the MSM call Meloni a fascist, but she seems to be supportive of NATO and Ukraine enough to where they have mostly left her alone.
