Anne Frank Center Blasts Tim Allen for ‘Deeply Offensive' Nazi Germany Remark

And in so doing they highlight the exact double standard Tim Allen is referencing in his comment.
For example, Ashley Judd (among countless others Leftists) goes on a tirade comparing Donald Trump to Hitler? No problemo, says the Anne Frank Center.
Tim Allen says this: “You gotta be real careful around here, you know. You’ll get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes. It’s like ’30s Germany.”
And the Anne Frank Center goes apoplectic, demanding an apology.
Thanks for proving his point.

What's funny is that I don't think Tim was even referring to Jews as much as how an ideology permeated Germany and as a German (non-Jew) you had to fall in line of suffer the consequences.

True, but it doesn't matter when you come from the "wrong side" of the political fence. Meanwhile, Trump has been referred to as "literally Hitler" about 4,000 times now. Somehow, that's okay.

I went to the Anne Frank house about a year ago and at the end of the tour there are some video monitors warning visitors of new "hate" groups on the rise throughout Europe and other parts of the world. Interestingly, they highlighted several groups who were against their countries liberal immigration policies as being right wing hate groups. These people are so far left, they view everyone that doesn't think like them as Nazi's, which was basically Allen's point.

Exactly correct. He was referring to the "progressive" social elite and intelligencia of the Germany of the 1930's who would go on to enable the very atrocities which the Ann Frank Center should exist to remind everyone of.
