Yeah I'm in the Hamptons and we're barely getting by. I guess I could move to Hilton Head or somewhere of lesser quality of life, but we worry about how it will affect the kids.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

They would have been able to make it had they faced reality, given up the $20,000 per month rent apartment and moved out of Manhattan. I've had two friend families do that in the last three years and they are profoundly happier. One friend can't believe how much he now enjoys mowing his lawn and pulling weeds in the garden. Poor in Manhattan is pretty much rich anywhere else.

It's actually pretty nonsensical if you think about it. "I'm sad that I can't afford health care so I'll just remove my health entirely by killing myself".
