Depends on your definition of close. A Republican should walk away with this election by at least 10 points. Moore only won Chief Justice in 2012 by 4% because he turns off a lot of voters. I don’t think Jones can get that close because the nature of the race is different but he is clearly making this race more interesting than it should be.

I have only voted for 1 democrat in my life.
There is no way in hell I would have EVER voted for Strange and my only 2 choices would have been to not vote or vote for Jones.
Many many Alabamians feel the same way about Strange.

When you nominate an assclown like Moore....and he is an assclown.....you tend to get poll numbers like this. Don't feel bad, in Louisiana, we elected an idiot showboater Attorney General who will likely run for governor . We've also put into nomination before a religious righty guy named Woody Jenkins to run against Mary Landrieu in what should have been a slam dunk for Republicans at the time.

If Jones is within 3-5 pts of Moore next month, the Democrats will stat pouring in some money....if it is still tied up, bet your arse that they will start dumping millions in PAC money
