Well, forced abortion comes to mind. The Chinese are totalitarians. They don't mail me a list of restrictions they impose on the populace. But if you think Chinese pollution is due to their commitment to individual liberty then feel free to make yourself look like an idiot.

Everyone in this thread, including some of the more conservative posters, agree that at least some regulation is good-it's not in a company's best interest to mind the environment on its own doing when there is no repercussion.

Everyone, that is, except for Zach. In his utopian society, industry can produce as much pollution as they want. It doesn't matter if that new plant built close to your house is polluting the air. They own the land, and are more efficient without environmental regulations. If you don't like that, then tough shite, pack up and move somewhere else, even though you were there first.
