Probably. Just not the overwhelming majority of "small government conservatives" and/or "libertarians" on this board.

So now we've conceded the philosophical point...everything else is just a debate over degree, correct?
There is always a limit to resources available for the task. That's why the Carbon-footprint BS is damaging. It saps environmental resources from other more valuable activities

Now the 13 million people in the LA metro area can live there with good air, without having to move somewhere else.

And no water. Yep. Worked out great.

Since they are polar opposites to libertarians, there should be tons and tons of regulation. So what has the Chinese government done to help the air quality?

Well, forced abortion comes to mind. The Chinese are totalitarians. They don't mail me a list of restrictions they impose on the populace. But if you think Chinese pollution is due to their commitment to individual liberty then feel free to make yourself look like an idiot.

Sure there is. I'm convinced the left has absolutely no idea what the other side of the aisle believes.

You do a pretty damn good job of looking like an idiot on a daily basis.

And this is your idea of a rebuttal? How very sad for you. But have a nice day.

What you say makes absolutely no sense, and you sound delusional.

OK, if you don't understand what I'm saying here is a pic of a puppy you can fixate on until the nurse comes.

Even the most ardent conservative global warming "denier" is all for eliminating pollution and is thankful that the air is far cleaner now than in the 50s and 60s.

Pollution is a very tangible thing that can be easily measured and curbed through relatively painless measures. FAR FAR different than global warming.

Everyone in this thread, including some of the more conservative posters, agree that at least some regulation is good-it's not in a company's best interest to mind the environment on its own doing when there is no repercussion.

Everyone, that is, except for Zach. In his utopian society, industry can produce as much pollution as they want. It doesn't matter if that new plant built close to your house is polluting the air. They own the land, and are more efficient without environmental regulations. If you don't like that, then tough shite, pack up and move somewhere else, even though you were there first.

Just thought you guys might find this interesting-I know everyone hates the EPA here, but regulation can be a good thing too.

I'm sure the free market would have solved that problem
