No anti-war crowd at all, or at least no media attention to it for a little more than 8 years.

We need another Marxist to make this unimportant

Well it is bad. We have no more business there now than we have the past 17 years.

Homelessness will all of a sudden be an epidemic as well.

Seems like I should have heard about this during the last administration.

Agreed... question is, how many more presidential terms of empty promises will it take to actually pull out? We're sitting at three now by my count (unless I'm blanking on Bush promising a de-escalation before leaving office).

War with North Korea was our only shot at getting out of Afghanistan.

Not so much 2014 Barack the Benevolent speaketh,

quote:

In a written statement marking the formal end of U.S. combat there, Obama said the remaining 10,000 or so American troops in Afghanistan would still face danger but that the longest U.S. war ever was now history.

quote:

"Our personnel will continue to face risks, but this reflects the enduring commitment of the United States to the Afghan people and to a united, secure and sovereign Afghanistan that is never again used as a source of attacks against our nation," Obama said.

quote:

Currently on vacation with his family in Hawaii, the President used a Christmas address to Marines stationed on Oahu to hail the achievements of the U.S. military in Afghanistan, asserting the U.S. is safer because of the effort there.

Similar to the left's outrage when we retaliated for the chemical attack in Syria under Trump... yet, they turned a blind eye while Obama was dropping - what was it 26,000+ - bombs in over six different countries, including Syria.

Suddenly the regressive retards cared about bombs falling in a country that their God had already bombed out.

And poverty, welfare dependents, the national debt, the real median household income, debt per citizen, the labor force participation rate, the cost of living (which is already astronomical in blue states compared to red), black communities being in shambles, etc. etc.

And the millions who had stopped looking for employment and thus aren't factored into unemployment numbers.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't pull out.

I believe this thread is about the double standard of the media and the left. Not whether we should pull out or not.

This cannot be true (fake news). President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Wait, I was told by the geniuses on this board that Obama was a pussy who backed down from conflict.

Turns out he was just following the establishment agenda in the Middle East; just like Bush before him, and Trump after him.
