The liberals literally started the whole my truth train this crazy world is on. They believe there are no such things as facts, only their own truths. So, literally I have had professional discussions with people where they are 100% wrong factually, and they simply say well this is my truth, and that is like a get out of jail card. It isn't.
And seriously, wtf? AOC, the liberal superhero, just said something along the lines that she may be factually wrong but morally right. There is no such distinction. Facts are not moral or immoral, they are facts. Facts are not racist. Facts are not bigoted. Facts are simply facts. The conclusions people draw from those facts may be those things, but the facts are simply the facts.
You are a smart guy and I figured you would be more against this ridiculousness. But you don't seem to be unless you are trolling. In which case it was a nice troll job.
You watch the news, do you not? How can you honestly say that literally every news source except fox, is massively shifted to the left. Hell, CNN literally gave Hillary the questions before the debates because they are little more than working for the dnc.
I agree that both sides want their biases reinforced, but the left literally makes things up. The russian gate crap, the downplaying of the Hillary servers, the need to see trumps taxes are all literally made up or downplayed to help push an agenda.
I just don't get it.
And then you say that trump wanting to bus Illegals to sanctuary cities in another post is petty, child like and vindictive? When the liberals literally say we will take anyone in, there are no such things as illegals. And they claim that illegal immigrants make them safer. And they are an economic boon. Please if that is indeed factually true, would you not want them bused to your city.
I would love to see your response. I am trying to be respectful here and hopefully have listed things out a bit that we could perhaps have a constructive discussion. We used to be more aligned. I have always been more of a centrist. I was socially progressive and financially conservative. My views have not changed.
I believe in gay marriage. I am to the consternation of this board, pro choice. I to the love of this board, are pro 2nd amendment. These things haven't changed. But the views of the left have shifted so far left as to be ridiculous in just a few years. It seems in the few years since trump has gotten elected, simple basic ideas that he supports and the liberals used to support and now the antithesis of what they believe.
Open boarders, getting rid of cbp, socialism, some people did something. It is all just too crazy for me.
Add on to that that we realize that Obama had the IRS weaponized. And damn if he didn't weaponize the doj.
Are you not the least bit concerned about these things?
Anyways, rather than post more, I will hopefully await a response. I will try to check back later because I would love to have a serious conversation about these things.

Honestly, I don’t have the energy that I used to have prior to the “medical event”. For the last couple of years, just walking into my home office/ computer room,
And then getting situated in front of the monitor is pretty fricking strenuous. And, for now, my left hand is no help on the keyboard. Posting is absurdly slow and requires inordinate effort and concentration. After a few minutes I often say to hell with it. I’m not iwhining, but I need to find another distraction to occupy my time.And using my phone to post presents its own set of problems. I used to enjoy the Poliboard when we had vigorous but reasonable discussion and debate. I’m telling you, things changed in 2016, when the country elected a loud-mouthed scammer who is a shill for some of the very interests this board supposedly. disdains. L Nevertheless, the cult of personality is such that personality affects so many posters that once reasonable people have embraced a paranoid alternate reality.
And their stance is hardened by inflammatory rhetoric from a man who, in my opinion, has no true core beliefs beyond his self- interest.
Sadly, too many posters only view things only as left versus right, and it’s hard to get past that.

When I was in grad school( not law school), I spent half my time disputing the claims of a few liberal professors who cited Marx from time to time. I was a general pain in the neck for much of the faculty. I've always been as argumentative with the far left as I am with the right, whether you choose to believe it or not. It's just that
90% of the posts here come from the right and far right.
And when I refer to "right" and "left", I'm not referring to theory. I'm usually talking about where opinions fall among the general population.
