Obamacare failed.

In what year did all insurers pull out of the individual markets?

When did the Alaska exchanges close and were not replaced by healthcare.gov?

When they were bailed out. Do you consider that viable?

That is about the same percentage (70%) of counties in the US that are at or below the poverty line.

I'm sure there is a correlation I just don't want to look it up and compare.

Just curious, what does that even mean?

So they actually pulled out, or they said they would if the law wasn't tweaked?

Because the former would be a collapse, the latter is a negotiation.

Yeah, what does that even mean though? 100% of the population below the poverty line? 50%?

Counties in poverty are less likely to be able to afford insutance no matter what is passed or repealed.

This hurts everyone else that has insurance. It will cause premiums to continue to rise no matter if it is ACA or AHCA. For the premiums to decrease or to stay the same the pool needs to have more paying premiums.

Yep, TN got screwed when all of the populated counties got dumped by BCBS Knoxville Nashville and Memphis and surrounding counties.

Tennessee is also getting dumped by another provider after year and will only have one left, one that isn't available in Knoxville apparently (I forget which one will be left). So basically you better hope your company provides a group plan

Unlikely since subsidies extend to 400% of the poverty line.
