Interesting outcome. I would have bet money on Perret to win it all in first go round. Now,...hmmm... its Theall's to lose.

I heard on the Ross Report (Carol Ross) on 96.5 KPEL today that Perret agreed to a telephone interview at a time TBA.

That will be very interesting.

Where do you foresee Anseman's voters flocking to: Theall or Perret and why?

Theall, if they vote at all. My sources(haha, I like that) say the reason Anseman ran was in response to Perret muscling out Judge Trahan. THey either go to Theall or go home.

That doesn't make much sense to me.

If Anseman's voters really wanted Judge Hebert (and I don't know if they were pro-Hebert or anti-Theall), why would they flock to Theall now?

I wouldn't think that Theall has an advantage. Perret won the parishes other than Lafayette by a huge margin. Theall only polled strong in Lafayette, with Perret on her heels. Perret can make up ground in Lafayette much easier than Theall can make up ground in Acadia, Allen, Vermilion, St. Landry, etc.

I'd put my money on the candidate with the most money, which is Perret.

You seem to be an enthusiastic supporter. What do you make of the fraud talk?

The Independent has been relentless on Perret and her husband. In a normal election she would get destroyed.

I'm curious to hear Tboy's mental gymnastics re. Perret not being involved with her husband's business.

I read that headache inducing article in the Independent three times but couldn't get anything other than LSI may be under investigation or it may not. Reminds me of the story the other day that Flynn may have reached a deal. Wake me up when someone actually does something.

Most people understand that the Independent is a liberal activist blog. Now it's just an online thing because they couldn't make it as a print publication. Having the Independent siding with Theall may actually help Perret.
