And it’s probably much more than that in total. Something does need to be done to relieve workers and employers right now, but I fear we’re creating a huge financial bubble that is just not sustainable at all. That’s well over 10% of our economy right there.

Politicians got what they wanted out of this. Anyone who can’t see R’s and D’s as two sides of the same coin is blind. Their endless bickering is just a show.

Might give a little incentive to get rid of a bunch of useless programs that are filling politicians and lobbyists pockets. No telling how much of our tax dollars are being stolen from us. Also might be nice to not pay random countries billions and billions of dollars.

Congress created $18,000 in new debt for every citizen of this country, gave most of it to Wall St, and handed most of you back $1,200.

They'll do to us whatever we are willing to accept.

They've shown Wall St is more important to them than human lives.

There is swamp on both sides. Note how hard Republicans went after Trump in the beginning. Those R's saw the writing on the wall.

Republicans did a lot of draining by forcing some of theirs into retirement (i.e. Paul Ryan).

Democrats are still swamp creatures by and large.

A trillion is a lot.

But we are dealing with big numbers in the economy of a 330,000,000 people society. Yeah, numbers will be way out there.

Go back to work.

We already have unemployment in this country. Incentivize businesses to keep employees by helping with payroll.

Exactly why the government shouldn’t be involved at all. They have, and always will, pick winners and losers in everything they get into. If anything can be done, it would maybe be an additional tax holiday and rebate with an additional percentage refunded to you. And for heavens sakes, please cut payroll taxes. Businesses will need all the incentive they can get to hire and retain employees after drastic decreases in cash flow the last several weeks. But people have to go back to work at some point. This is not acceptable. The people who are most at risk are most likely retired and will stay at home anyway. The rest of us will have to apply common sense and take care of ourselves and our families and friends, if need be. But 3 million joblessness claims in the last few weeks could double or triple or quadruple soon if business isn’t allowed to start up again. That will have much longer term effects on our beloved country than this virus.
